The Professional Women's Group ("PWG") Gothenburg was founded in the beginning of 2007 and has been the initiative of two professional expatriate women living in Gothenburg who saw an opportunity in creating a platform for women to discuss professional ideas, concerns and issues. After more than a year of activities the PWG has established itself as a networking group for all those women in West Sweden interested in various aspects of careers, business and personal development. The PWG is not for profit. All activities are run by a voluntary organizing committee.
Our mission is to give women with a professional background the opportunity to exchange experiences and inspire them in their current or future career path . Group members meet every 4 - 6 weeks and through workshops, discussion and networking they have the opportunity to discuss business ideas, advertise their services, gain different insights, develop new skills and to act as each others sounding board. Guest speakers are invited to some of the meetings. All communication and meetings are in English.
We are not affiliated with any of the official organizations in West Sweden although we do advertise our existence with them and try to work with them whenever beneficial for the mission of the group.
This group is not restricted to expatriates. It's for all women that are running their own business or would like to learn more on how to bring their career to the next level; are enthused about doing business, have issues/ideas/concerns that they would like to get constructive feedback on or would just like to interact with like-minded souls.
Professional Women's Group – Exchange ideas and be inspired today!
Organizing committee
The organizing committee of the group consists of four women with various nationalities and backgrounds. Through their contacts in the Gothenburg community and their experiences with working and doing business in this region, they aim to give publicity to and increase the visibility of the PWG. Also, they strive to provide the group with an interesting array of activities through their own knowledge and network.
